I love to travel

Going on vacation is amazing….. the walking, the sights and especially the food! My husband and I just went to New York City. It has always been on my bucket list to visit at Christmas time and it did not disappoint. 

The point of a vacation is to relax and do what you wish. For this vacation I did just that. I didn’t track my food. I enjoyed food I may not typically eat and loved absolutely every bite of everything I ate. 

We had pizza, burgers, ice cream, pretzels, candied nuts and we even had dessert for supper one night. But when you are averaging 30,000 steps a day you need something to fuel your body. 

But now that I am back I am ready to get back to routine. Today I am back to tracking what I eat, I got back to my workouts and back to a normal step count. 

Creating healthy habits also allows you to be flexible when it comes to eating. Remember we should always enjoy what we eat and sometimes it’s ok to spoil yourself and then get back on track. That’s part of life!
